Muhammed Yesilhark

Born and raised in Germany, Muhammed Yesilhark is an entrepreneur and a philanthropist. Furthermore, he is the founder and owner of a small but very successful firm based in Dubai called Q2Q Capital. Until the year 2016, Muhammed Yesilhark managed hedge funds for Carmignac and was the head European Equities as well as a Partner of the firm. He was responsible for the company’s European funds as well as the European exposure of the global funds adding up to approximately $8bn exposure being one of the leading asset managers at Carmignac with a hedge fund close to $55bn AuM.

Muhammed Yesilhark’s Professional Life

Muhammed Yesilhark started working with yet another successful firm based in the US which is currently transformed into a family office, called Point72 Asset Management. It was formerly known as the SAC Global Investor where he was a partner and portfolio manager with a hedge fund of $15bn AuM. Muhammed then moved to Carmignac with his 5-person strong team from SAC global investors.

During his time as a partner and portfolio manager for SAC, Global Investors Muhammed Yesilhark was one of the recipients of the “40 under 40” award for the 40 highest achieving investment professionals in the European hedge fund industry, for managing a hedge fund of a European equities portfolio with $550m AuM.

Muhammed Yesilhark moved to London to work with one of the biggest and most successful capital management companies. Earlier to SAC, he went for the London-based event-driven hedge fund with currently $18bn AuM known as York Capital Management based after just 4 years of working as an associate to one of the best capital management companies in York. Muhammed Yesilhark is fluent in English, German, Turkish and Spanish, was responsible for York's investments in German-speaking countries as well as in the EMEA region at the age of 27, Muhammed Yesilhark was one of the youngest directors in the financial services industry in London in reputable firms.

His Career

Extremely talented and goal-driven Muhammed Yesilhark studied finance and management at the European School of Business and graduated with an Honors degree in first class both from the Reutlingen University of Applied Science in Germany and the Lancaster University in the United Kingdom.

After graduating with a first-class in Honors from two very prestigious universities, Muhammed Yesilhark moved to Frankfurt to get a break in his career. He started his career as an analyst at Lazard's Frankfurt office in their Mergers & Acquisition practice and is well-trained and an expert in areas such as corporate finance and equity capital markets.

His current Life

Muhammed Yesilhark is currently a trustee of the National Zakat Foundation (NZF), the UK's Breakthrough program which aims to utilize Zakat funds and voluntary donations collected in the United Kingdom for the benefit of local, deserving individuals. Married and with a family of four, Muhammed Yesilhark has a keen interest in sports, traveling, and philanthropy, and currently resides in Dubai.
